Car Winds Up on Its Side in Vernon Starbucks Drive-Through

VERNON, CT — A car wound up on its side in the drive-through lane of the local Starbucks on Monday, just after dusk.

The crash took place just before 8 p.m. at the popular coffee shop, located at 135 Talcottville Road, the local address for Route 83, police said.

At 10 p.m., police were still reconstructing the incident, but said the driver did not seem to be seriously hurt and was out of the vehicle shortly after it crashed. No arrest had been made as of 10 p.m., police said.

Police said they would release more information when the investigation is complete, but the car was laying on its side between the drive-through lane and the building on a curve at the front side of the Starbucks facing Route 83.
