Donahue Serves Up a Clutch Win for Rockville
Every Ram singles player gets a win against Plainville.

No. 1 singles.
Final set.
Tie-breaker.
Oh, and by the way, the match was tied 3-3 between the Rockville and Plainville girls tennis teams on Wednesday heading into that tie-breaker.
Rockville's Meagan Donahue had already survived one tie-breaker in her match with Sam Zaza of Plainville, and won the first set 7-4 in that tie-breaker.
Then, she lost the second set 3-6, and found herself at love-3 and 2-5 in the third set.
Donahue battled back and, at 6-6, she and Zaza headed for the tie-breaker. Donahue won it 7-3 to not only win for herself, but give the Rams their second victory in six matches.
''Meagan played with nerves of steel,'' Rockville coach Carol Hartmann said, "It was very exciting.''
Rockville swept the singles matches. After winning the first set 6-2, Hannah Hilton found herself in a second-set tiebreaker with Plainville's Chanel Macklin and took it 7-5.
Julie Granger defeated Plainville's Kelly Farina, 6-2, 6-1; and Nicole Ciampa was a 6-1. 6-0 winner over Plainville's Beca Lauzier.
In doubles, Sarah Kane and Abby Szach of Plainville defeated Rockville's Ally Johnson and Pam Graves, 6-2, 6-4; Kaitlin Lennon and Alma Pietri of Plainville defeated Sara Shane and Meagan Leopard of Rockville, 6-1, 6-4; and Anna Dzilenski and Nikki Dow of Plainville defeated Elizabeth Buxton and Katherine Cutting of RHS, 6-4, 6-0.
