The Vernon Drug and Alcohol Prevention Council, along with the Peer Advocates and SSNAP New Achievements Positively) Group, are sponsoring the fifth annual overnight Volleyball Lock-In on March 4 - 5 from 10:00pm to 6:00am. The purpose of this event is to provide a safe, fun, and substance-free weekend event for RHS students. Tickets are $8.00 each and will be sold during lunch waves from February 14through February 18 and again on February 28 and March 1 following the winter vacation week (or until tickets sell out). Students are encouraged to put together teams of six to eight players and come up with a creative name and team uniform. The entire team’s ticket money and completed permission forms are required to register the team. The first thirty-four (34) completed teams to sign up will be allowed to play. All others will be placed on a waiting list. There will be refreshments all night and prizes for winning team, best spirit, best uniform and more. Students will be expected to stay for the entire event, and parents will be notified if any registered students do not attend. Please contact Kim McTighe at 860-870-6050 x416 or Kimberly.McTighe@vernonct.org for more information.
