Fake Police Call in Vernon Lands Woman With Charges
A fabricated emergency call led to criminal charges in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police have charged a woman with tying up the law enforcement system with a fake call about someone harming herself.
Caitlin Lee, 35, of Manchester was charged with filing a false report concerning injury or death and second-degree reporting a false incident, according to a warrant.
The case dates back to July 28, when Lee, calling herself Caitlin Desorbo, reported that another woman was going to harm herself. When police went to the home, they were told the person was not even there, according to a warrant.
