Fingerprinting to Cost Less at Vernon Police Department
The feds have reduced their background check fees, local police said.
VERNON, CT — The cost of fingerprinting at the Vernon Police Department is going down.
That's right — down.
Police on Wednesday announced that, effective Oct. 1, the fee for fingerprinting related to background checks will be $62.

That is down from the current fee of $64.75.
The reason, police said, is that the FBI is reducing its feel for its portion of the checking system to $12, Vernon police said.
