Hockanum Valley Ringers to Perform June Concert

Members hail from South Windsor, Ellington, Vernon, Tolland, Newington and Manchester.

The Hockanum Valley Ringers will present an English handbell concert on Sunday, June 10 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Meadowlark Road, Vernon. 

An offering will be taken.

The Hockanum Valley Ringers are an auditioned community handbell ensemble that began rehearsing for the first time together in October of 2005.

The ringers play Malmark handbells, and perform a variety of styles from classical and Broadway to pop and jazz, along with a sprinkling of contemporary original music written especially for handbells.

Concerts typically include a variety of classic Christian hymns and songs arranged for handbells and chimes.

The director is Lawrence A. Berdensey.

The ringers are based in Vernon and members hail from South Windsor, Ellington, Vernon, Tolland, Newington and Manchester.
