"These expanded hours will be effective year-round, allowing us to better meet the growing needs and requests of our patrons and visitors," Champagne said.

"Since arriving in Vernon, the most frequent request I have heard from our members is a desire to expand library hours on Fridays and Saturdays," Library Director Jennifer Johnston said. "The weekend is a popular time to do research, check out a book that you have heard about, or to obtain passes to explore local museums and attractions. By offering additional hours, we can meet these needs, and I am very happy that, with the support of Mayor Champagne and the Town Council, we were able to make this happen."
