It Was Bike, Scooter And Walk To School Day In Vernon Center

VERNON, CT - Students heading to Center Road School on Wednesday morning walked, rode their bikes and scooted on scooters.

It was all part of an annual springtime event to promote exercise.

Students took a route up Center Road or past the Strong Family Farm, an agriculture education center near the school.

Some met up with friends along the way and even stopped for repairs.

Some parents even dropped children who normally take a bus at the farm to ride to school.
