LifeStar Responds To Serious Motor Vehicle Accident In Vernon

The accident occurred in front of a local restaurant and multiple patients were taken to local hospitals, officials said.

VERNON, CT — A serious motor vehicle accident in front of a local restaurant resulted in LifeStar helicopter responding to the scene, the Vernon Fire Department said on social media.

Emergency responders were called to 243 Hartford Turnpike in front of the Wood N' Tap Restaurant for a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle with multiple patients, fire officials said.

LifeStar responded and an additional ambulance and paramedic were provided by Ellington Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Manchester Fire Department, fire officials said.

LifeStar arrived and landed adjacent to the scene in the Exit 64 commuter lot. All patients were transported to Hartford area hospitals for further care, fire officials said.

The road was shut down Saturday afternoon as authorities investigated the cause of the accident.
