Local Groomer Brings Back Major Award to Posh Pups

Stephanie Zemanek, a groomer at Posh Pups, received accolades at a recent national grooming competition in Rhode Island - The New England Pet Grooming Professional dog show.

With a black poodle named Tex, Zamanek Stephanie not only won first place in the Poodle category, she also went on to win the Best in Show award.

Tex, a playful male who likes to ham it up for the camera, is owned by Gemstones Poodles of Tolland. The two have been a team for some time. 

Posh Pups is located at 56 Hyde Ave. - state Route 30 - in Vernon right near the Tolland line. 

The business, opened by Jennifer Olesnevich in December 2011, draws clients from not only Vernon and Tolland as far away as Stafford. 

Olesnevich and Zamanek have been best friends since elementary school and both entered the grooming profession while still in high school. Last year, they started entering competitions for professional grooming.
