Man Arrested in Vernon After Threatening to Kill Cats
A man who threatened to kill a woman's cats was arrested on Thursday.

VERNON, CT — A man was charged with three crimes on Thursday after threatening to kill a woman's cats. police said.
The incident involving 49-year-old William Antonetti took place at 1:44 a.m. on Thursday, according to an arrest report.
The woman referred to him as her "boyfriend," but by law, Antonetti was not supposed to be near her because of a protective order, according to an arrest report.

After the feline threat, the woman ran into a spare bedroom, but Antonetti broke through the door and police were called, according to an arrest report.
Antonetti was arrested and charged with violating the protective order, second-degree threatening, and second-degree breach of peace, according to an arrest report.

He was being held on a $10,000 bond and is slated to appear in court on Friday, records show. A man with the same name and same birth year shows up on the judicial system directory with an active family violence case.
