Man Charged After Parking Stolen Car To Urinate At Vernon PD: Cops
According to an arrest report, a man who stopped to relieve himself in the VPD lot was in a stolen car.

VERNON, CT — A man in a stolen car was arrested after he stopped to urinate in the Vernon Police Department parking lot, according to an arrest report.
The incident took place at 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 8.
According to an arrest report, an officer was exiting the police station lot and noticed a 2012 Acura ATL enter the lot with a bad registration plate.

The 24-year-old from Hartford, identified as Onix Rodriguez-Adorno, exited the vehicle quickly and the officer drove over the question him, according to an arrest report. He told the officer, who had turned around to question him, that he was intending to urinate in the parking lot, according to an arrest report.
Rodriguez-Adorno claimed that he did not know that the parking lot belonged to the Vernon Police Department, according to an arrest report.

Police said the vehicle turned up as being stolen from a dealership in East Windsor in 2022.
Rodriguez-Adorno claimed he did not know the Acura was stolen, but he was nevertheless charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, the improper use of a market plate, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving without the minimum insurance.
He posted a $10,000 bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 30.
