Man Facing 6 Charges After Vernon Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident led to charges by Vernon police.

VERNON, CT — A 42-year-old Vernon man is facing a half-dozen criminal charges after a stabbing incident in town last week, police said.
Jaime Couloute-Hampton was being held on a $500,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Tuesday, according to judicial system records.
According to an arrest report, at 26 minutes before midnight on Aug. 3, Vernon police responded to a stabbing report at a home on Mountain Street. A man was found there with a stab wound to the chest and told police Couloute-Hampton did it, according to an arrest report.

Couloute-Hampton was charged with:
- First-Degree assault
- First-degree reckless endangerment
- First-degree unlawful restraint
- Second-degree threatening
- Second-degree breach of peace
- Third-degree strangulation
