Man With Knife Arrested After Incident At Vernon Pizza Place

VERNON, CT — A knife-carrying Vernon resident was charged with creating a public disturbance after an incident outside a Rockville pizza place, police said.

The incident took place in Nov. 30 and police released a report on it over the weekend.

That day, at 9:36 p.m., police received a call about one person challenging another to a fight outside the Pizza Palace on East Main Street.

The man, identified as 29-year-old Peter Zalemanis, who lives nearby on Brooklyn Street, was located at the 7-Eleven on Union Street and was arrested, police said. He had an 8-inch kitchen knife on him, police said.

He is due in court on Tuesday.
