Man Subdued With Taser During Violent Vernon Home Invasion: Cops

Police had to subdue a Vernon man with a Taser after a violent home invasion Tuesday night, a report indicates.

VERNON, CT — Police had to subdue a Prospect Street man with a Taser after a violent home invasion Tuesday night, a report indicates.

The incident involving 23-year-old Michael Langley took place at 9:25 p.m., according to a report.

Langley allegedly went to a local residence in violation of a protective order, "attacked" a a woman, grabbed a knife and threatened to kill her, according to a report.

When officers arrived, Langley allegedly fought with them and had to be first wrestled to the ground and then subdued with a Taser, according to a report. He kicked an officer while being escorted from the residence, according to a report.

He was held on a $500,000 bond for a Wednesday court appearance on several charges:
