Manchester/Vernon Motel 6 Overdose Leads To Risk Charges: Police

Police have responded to the motel more than 100 times since June.

VERNON, CT — A 25-year-old living at the Motel 6 on the Vernon-Manchester line was revived after a possible drug overdose and his toddler children were later found alone in a hallway and a room, respectively, police said.

The man was subsequently charged with two counts of risk of injury to a child, police said.

Manchester and Vernon police have responded to more than 100 calls at the Motel 6 on Hartford Turnpike since June.

At 1:07 p.m. Sunday, Vernon police received a 911 call about a possible drug overdose at the Motel 6, according to an arrest report. A man was found unresponsive and was revived after Narcan was administered, according to an arrest report. He showed signs of both drug and alcohol use, but denied using either at first, according to an arrest report.

His 1-year-old was then located alone in a motel room and his 2-year-old was wandering in a hallway, according to an arrest report.
