Man Killed After Motorcycle Crashes into Woods in Vernon Thursday [Update]
Police identified the man on Friday after a motorcycle crashed on Vernon's Bolton Road Thursday night.

VERNON, CT — A man died after his motorcycle crashed into a wooded area on Bolton Road near Bread and Milk Road on Thursday night, according to police.
The rider, 64-year-old man from Vernon, hit a pole and was in the woods and unresponsive when first-responders arrived at the scene, according to police and Tolland County 911.
Police on Friday identified him as Timothy Madigan of Vernon.

The crash took place just before 10:30 p.m., according to Tolland County 911. The officer in charge at the scene was reporting the motorcyclist was in "traumatic arrest" and CPR was in progress, according to Tolland County 911.
A call for Life Star helicopter had been canceled, police said Bolton Road was closed for an extended period of time on Thursday night between Bread and Milk and Reservoir roads. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The man's identity was not being immediately released at the request of family members who were still trying to notify relatives, police said.
