New Business Takes Over Route 83 Vacancy In Vernon

A new business has taken over a Route 83 vacancy in Vernon.

(Primitive Renditions)

VERNON, CT — A new business opened Friday in Vernon at 309 Talcottville Road (Route 83) — Primitive Renditions.

According to owner Lisa Stevenson and her husband, Ray, it started as a hobby a little more than three years ago. Lisa bought a hutch on Craigslist and painted it. She was so happy with the way it came out, she bought another, painted that one, and it sold in less than a day.

It turned into both an online business and a service as others asked to have furniture painted and Lisa purchased more pieces.
