New Vernon Cumberland Farms Store Opens For Business

It was a bustling scene at the intersection of Talcottville Road and Hockanum Boulevard on Tuesday.

The new Cumberland Farms was open.

The full-scale grand opening will be scheduled for July or August, Economic Development Coordinator Shaun Gately said.

For now, customers can get gas and the usual staples.

And more extensive food offerings than the smaller Cumbys up the road.

The old store will be phased out, officials from the chain said.
