New Weathervane Symbolic Of The "New" Rockville HS Ag Center
The RHS agriculture center has had a string of improvements.

VERNON, CT — In the early morning fog Friday, a pair of Vernon firefighters placed a new weathervane atop the barn at the Rockville High School agriculture science and technology center.
The ceremony was attended by students and faculty in the program, Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary, Mayor Daniel Champagne, state agriculture chief Bryan Hurlburt and even Muana and Tata Hei Hei, the cow and calf combo that has been a hit since Tata was born Oct. 8.
RHS principal Jason Magao said the weathervane's top was fashioned out of the Ram logo that was cut out of the new scoreboard.

Magao also said it was a fitting symbol for a center that was once a mud puddle but now features several buildings that serve several programs within the program. The ag program at RHS serves 10 towns in the region.
Macary said he has a crash course in just how big the program was when one of the first orders of business when he became superintendent ws to sign paperwork to insure one of the animals.

Champagne in a proclamation said the facility show a "renewed focus on a well-known and respected magnet program."
