The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series.

VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the picture Vernon series takes us back to 1933 and a 99-year-old who bought her first car.
Mary Brigham was featured with her new Chevrolet Master Eagle four-door sedan in the book, "Images of America ... Vernon-Rockville in the Twentieth Century."
According to the account, at 99, Brigham, who lived on Brooklyn Street, decided it was time for a car to help her get the the plethora of community groups she belonged to and stay in touch with friends.
