Picture Vernon — A New School, New Homes

VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series take us back to this week in 1963, when Skinner Road School was being built.

The black-and-white picture was submitted by the Manchester Historical Society for the book, "Looking Back II - North Central Connecticut in the 1950s, '60s and '70s."

The image also shows new homes being built in the neighborhood.

The color image was taken this week.
