Rams spiked by East Hartford
The RHS volleyball team plays a competitive match, but comes up short.

Boys volleyball
Rockville High School dropped a 3-0 home match to East Hartford on Wednesday.
The scores were 25-21, 25-9, 25-17.
For Rockville, Ahmed Ali had eight service points, Howard Daniel had two blocks and Mohamed Ali had 3 assists.
Girls track and field
RHS fell to Tolland on Tuesday at home by a score of 116.5-28.5.
Jenny Mears took first place in the javelin with an 111-foot throw. Mears also finished second in the high jump after clearing 4-6 and was third in the triple jump. Mears scored in all four of her events and leads the team in points this season.
Other notable performances were made by Kelly Walker and Abby Kaminski. Kaminski tied for first in the pole vault after clearing 7 feet. Walker finished first in the 200 meters with a time of 28.32. Walker finished second in both hurdles races.
Freshman Shayla Schoenberger performed well in the long distance events for Rockville. Schoenberger finished third in the mile with a personal best time of 6:08 and then finished second for the 2-mile run with a time of 13:10.
The Rockville girls and boys next meet is home against E.O. Smith at 3:45 on April 19.
