
Girls tennis:
Rockville dropped six of seven matches to Platt High School today to drop to 0-2.
In Singles, Meagan Donohue took the first set against Platt's Alyssa Roberts 6-3 and Roberts took her into a tiebreaker in the second set. Donahue took the tiebreaker 9-7 to win the match in straight sets.
In other singles matches:
Tina Dutra of Platt defeated Hannah Hilton of Rockville, 6-2, 6-4.
Emely Chenard of Platt defeated Rockville's Pam Graves, 6-0, 6-0.
Patt's Lauren Beale defeated Ally Johnson of Rockville, 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles:
Ashley Rean and Louise Carroza of Platt defeated Julie Granger and Nicole Ciampa of Rockville 6-3, 7-5.
Platt's Ruchi Sheth and Ariana D’Avanzo defeated Sara Shane and Meagan Leopard of Rockville, 6-1, 6-3.
Jessica Gaj and Nicole Gilluly of Platt defeated Elizabeth Buxton and Katherine Cutting of Rockville, 6-3, 6-1.
Rockville's next match is Monday at Southington.
Boys volleyball:
Bulkeley defeated the Rams today by a 3-0 score. The sweep was 25-8, 25-7 and 25-13.
Vince Desilets had five kills for Rockville.
