Report: Toddlers Left Alone in Rockville Supermarket Lot

A woman is facing criminal charges for the incident.

VERNON, CT — A Vernon woman is facing three criminal charges after officers found three toddlers alone in her car at a local supermarket parking lot.

Shakeeta Woodson, 34, of North Park Street, Vernon, was charged with leaving children younger than 12 unsupervised in a public place, transporting children without a restraint system and driving without a license, according to an arrest report.

She was arrested Saturday, released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before a judge in Rockville Superior Court on Sept. 13, police said.

At 1:09 p.m., Police were alerted to three toddlers left unattended in a vehicle at the Rockville Stop & Shop, 60 Windsorville Road, according to an arrest report.

No car seats were in the vehicle, police said.
