RHS Band to Take the Field Monday for a Preview Performance
The annual Rockville High School Festival of Bands is scheduled for Oct. 19.
The Rockville High School Marching Ram Band has been hard at work preparing for the Sept. 13 football opener and a preview performance is slated for Monday - tonight- from 6 to 8 p.m.
The 2013 edition of the annual Rockville High School Festival of Bands is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, 7:00 p.m.
Here are a few highlights of the festival:
• Nine bands from Connecticut and Massachusetts will be featured.
• About 600 musicians and color guard members will take the field in the competition,
• Competitions are scored on best music, best visual, and best overall Effect
• Various Sections are featured - Drumline, Brass, Low Brass, and Color Guard.
The 2013 RHS drum Majors are Jackie Ose and Josh Chaffee.
The RHS Marching Ram Band is under the direction of Darcy Davis.
RHS will compete in five competitions this fall leading up to the New England regional competition scheduled for Oct. 26 in Bridgeport.
