
The Rockville High School boys volleyball team picked up its first win ever on Wednesday in a match against East Hartford that went all five games.
The scores were 14-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 15-10.
For East Hartford, Joel Ferrer had seven kills, eight aces and three blocks.
For RHS, Igor Biahliak had three kills, eight aces and five blocks. Malik Yarde had eight kills and five digs and Josh Colombo had three kills and a pair of aces.
The next match for Rockville is slated for Monday, at home versus Maloney.
"It's been a long road, but I couldn't be more proud of the team and their determination to win," RHS coach Kimberly Marinan said. "We played a great team in a close game and the team held its own."

The RHS boys track and field squad dropped a dual meet to Tolland 138-11 on Wednesday. In the girls meet, Tolland was a 124-17 winner.
