Rockville High Marching Band's "Magical" Performance
The Rockville High School Marching Band performed in the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
On Sunday, March 1, the Rockville High School Marching Band performed in the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Fifty-five students from the award-winning Marching Ram Band participated in this once in a lifetime trip to Orlando, Florida. After practicing for over a month in the frigid cold, and dodging snow banks in the RHS student parking lot, the students were rewarded on their performance day with beautiful sunny weather and temperature in the mid 80’s. Thousands of spectators lined the three-quarter of a mile parade route and cheered excitedly as the Rockville Band students marched by them performing Alexander’s Ragtime Band, This is My Country, and God Bless America. This is the eighth time that the RHS Band has been invited to perform in Disney World.
