Rockville General Hospital Auxiliary Awards Scholarships

The Rockville General Hospital Auxiliary has awarded four high school graduates with the Mercedes Hawley Scholarship for 2012.

Each recipient was presented with a scholarship toward her degree in a health care-related field.

This year’s recipients are: Nicolette Pennington from East Catholic High School and Katelyn Rizner, Kelly Walker and Elizabeth Ta, all from Rockville High School.

The Mercedes Hawley Scholarship was named after a very active member of the RGH Auxiliary who was killed in an automobile accident. Mercedes Hawley was a former President of the Auxiliary and scholarship chairperson.
