Rockville High School Student's Poem to Appear in National Publication
The distinction was announced on Wednesday.

VERNON, CT — Rockville High School Sophomore Youssef Mezrioui will have a poem he authored published in the 2016 edition of The Apprentice Writer, a literary journal of poems, stories, and personal essays by high school students from across the nation.
This year, journal editors selected just 60 works from 2,000 submissions, RHS creative writing teacher Victoria Nordlund said.
The Apprentice Writer has a circulation of 11,000 and is distributed each September.

Nordlund said it will also be available online.
In its 34th year, the journal is edited and published by the Susquehanna University Writers Institute.
