School Board to Seniors: Take the Last Day Off
RHS seniors do not have to report to school on June 21 - the day after graduation.
So graduation day will really be graduation day for the Class of 2013 on June 20.
That's a Thursday. The Board of Education took care of the next day by voting on Monday to excuse the seniors from reporting to school on Friday.
The 180th day of school falls on June 20, the day graduation is scheduled for, Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway told the school, board.
Project Graduation officials have been planning an overnight event for the night of the 20th into the morning of the 21st, Conway said.
The vote to excuse the seniors from reporting to school on June 21 was unanimous.
