Slight Increase in Proposed Vernon Town Budget

The proposed town budget would increase spending by 2.06 percent over the current year.

The budget would result in a .9 percent tax rate increase, which means the mill rate would go up from 36.11 to 36.91, according to the Journal Inquirer.

The town council voted to send the propsoed budet to the annual town meeting for voters to review.
