Tasty Chick Officially Becomes Beyond Dance

The old Tasty Chick restaurant officially became the New Beyond Dance studio on Saturday.

Mayor Jason McCoy and owner Jessica Foster cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the business at a noontime ceremony.

Foster is the former owner and director of Dance Nation. In August, she begamn , is remodeling the old fried food takeout joint and opening Beyond Dance, a name that she said is giving her, ''a fresh start.''

Foster said she will offer classes in jazz, hip-hop, breakin', contemporary, tap, pom dance, acrobatics and combination.

She said both recreational and competitive levels will be offered. Boys-only and parent-child classes will also be featured and a Friday night dance party will take place at the studio one day per month.

The studio is located at the intersection of Regan and center roads.
