Trio Tries to Hide Heroin in Convenience Store Rest Rooms: Cops

Three were arrested for trying to hide drugs in store rest rooms.

VERNON, CT — Three people have been charged with trying to hide heroin in convenience store rest rooms, Vernon police said.

Police released the details of the Dec. 1 incident on Thursday.

At 12:33 a.m. that day, an officer observed three people continuously walking in and out of the rest rooms at the Hartford Turnpike Cumberland Farms store.

The officer had been stationed across the street and went to Cumby's to question the trio, according to arrest reports.

The officer determined that an unlicensed driver and two passengers were traveling around in an unregistered and uninsured car, had seen him across the street, and were trying to hide the drugs and related paraphernalia, according to arrest reports.

The three were identified as Ryan Loree, 28 of Ruby Road, Willington; April Moan, 30, of Ashbrook Drive, Coventry; and Scott Brousseau, 29, of Main St., Coventry, according to arrest reports.

All three were charged with narcotics possession and the use of drug paraphernalia and Loree was charged with several motor vehicle offenses, according to arrest reports.
