Truck Bursts Into Flames At Home Near McDonald's In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A pickup truck burst into flames Sunday morning at a home next to the Route 31 McDonald's in Vernon.

Fire officials said the incident at 60 Reservoir Road broke out just before 7:30 a.m.

A unit from the Prospect Street Firehouse and police officers arrived at the scene and found a "well-involved" pickup truck on the property, according to fire officials.

Crews knocked down the fire quickly and remained on scene to make sure it had not spread to a nearby garage

No inures were reported.
