Vernon Bests Rockville in Little League Tourney Play

The Vernon Little League all-stars beat cross-town rival Rockville by a score of 17-1 on Tuesday.

The standouts for Rockville were Kevin Smith and Ethan Young.

For Vernon, Noah Moulton celebrated his 11 birthday by going 2-for-3 at the plate and making two solid defensive plays in the field.

Shane Dorman and Matt Moytka also had outstanding games.

Vernon plays South Windsor American on Thursday at Legion Field.
