Vernon Cops Seeking Suspect In Violent Robbery
Vernon police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police are looking for a man involved in a violent holdup at a local gas station.
A report on the Wednesday incident was released on Friday.
According to a report, the robbery took place at 10 p.m. at the Shell station, 1302 Hartford Turnpike. That's the corner of routes 30 and 31.

A man entered the convenience store at the station, brandished a firearm and assaulted the clerk, according to a report. The bandit stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing the premises, a report indicates.
The clerk received minor injuries, according to a repoprt.

The suspect is being described as a "white male."

Vernon Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspect and released two images of the incident. Anyone with information can contact Det. Thomas Van Tasel at 860-872-9126. Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
