Vernon Native Bringing New Coffee Concept To Old Denny's
The old Denny's in Vernon will be fading away in favor of a new coffee establishment.

VERNON, CT — A Vernon native who said the Tri-City Plaza was "a big part of my weekends" growing up, is returning to her hometown to open up a coffee place with a unique customer service strategy at the old Denny's location.
A lease for the spot was secured about two months ago, Sharon Parmar said, and what will eventually be 7 Brew coffee is currently going through the local regulatory process.
Parmar is the co-owner of 7 Brew along with her husband, Manraj Parmar, her sister, Kiran Kapoor, and Kiran's husband, Rohan Kapoor. This week, they are in the final stages of preparation for the opening of 7 Brew Wallingford. Parmar said it represents the first location of the chain in New England.

"For Kiran and me, the Vernon location is particularly special, as we both grew up in the area. I used to live just up the road and attended Lake Street Elementary and Rockville High School," Parmar said. "Opening a business in a plaza I spent so much time in growing up feels like a full-circle moment.
She continued, "Growing up in Vernon, it feels great to bring our business back home. Vernon is a great fit for 7 Brew because it’s a tight-knit community with a strong local culture, which aligns perfectly with our focus on building connections with our community. We cultivate kindness in every interaction, and we believe 7 Brew's unique drive-thru experience will quickly become a favorite stop for residents."
That "experience" essentially entails razing the former Denny's, which currently sits in an overgrown corner of Tri-City plaza, and replacing with with a plopped-down prefabricated 510-square foot building, Parmar said.
She said the building arrives at the plaza and it put in place.
The 7 Brew experience includes customers being greeted by staffers, who take orders over two drive-through lanes (similar to Chick-fil-A). There is no inside seating.
"A staff member is with a customer from order to pick-up," Parmar said.

The 7 Brew chain boats 266 locations across 29 states. Its menu includes drink combinations that include coffees, teas, energy drinks, fizz drinks, chillers, and smoothies.
"Our innovative service model eliminates the traditional intercom system, replacing it with a double-lane drive-thru for efficient service. Team members personally take and deliver orders directly to customers' vehicles, ensuring a personalized experience," the camps said
