Vernon PD Arrests Alleged First Niagara Robber
He is also charged with another bank robbery in Connecticut.
Vernon Police have arrested the man who allegedly robbed the First Niagara Bank on Nov. 17.
Joseph Cormier, 31, of Stafford is in the custody of the state Department of Correction. He was arrested by State Police Troop C and charged with the robbery of the Willington First Niagara Bank on Nov. 26, said Vernon Detective James Grady.
Vernon Police worked with State Police following the Willington incident, Grady said. Corporate security from First Niagara also helped.

Cormier is charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree larceny for the Vernon incident. He is being arraigned Thursday and is being held in lieu of a court set bond.
