Vernon Posts Memorial Day 2020 Trash And Recycling Schedule

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

That mean trash and recycling will not be collected on that day. It will instead will be collected the following day — Tuesday, May 26, — along with that day's collection.

Excess trash and recycling may be brought to the Vernon Transfer Station, free of charge, year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, May 24.
