Vernon Resident Wins Credit Union Sweepstakes
She and her husband financed a car and drove off with a boatload of money.

Janice Rodgers of Vernon was the winner of the $5,000 grand prize in a summer loan sweepstakes promotion from American Eagle Federal Credit Union.
She was selected at random from 1,120 eligible entries received during July and August 2011.
Rodgers became eligible when she and her husband Joe financed a Toyota Highlander through the Credit Union’s Vernon branch on Route 30.
“This is fantastic,” said Rodgers about winning the $5,000 grand prize. “We’ve had many loans and accounts over the past 40 years with the Credit Union. We just love being members here.”
The couple plans to take a vacation with the winnings.
