Vernon Residents Voice Concerns About Pumping More Water from Shenipsit

The plan would pump thousands more gallons daily from the lake.

A handful of residents voiced concerns about pumping more water from Shenipsit Lake that would go to the University of Connecticut.

Three Vernon residents, a Tolland resident and a Manchester resident opposed the plan between Connecticut Water Co., Mansfield and UConn that would draw thousands of extra gallons from the lake daily, according to the Journal Inquirer.
