Vernon Santa House Fundraiser On Tap For Saturday
The annual fundraiser to benefit the Vernon Santa House is scheduled for Saturday.
VERNON, CT — The annual fund raiser to benefit the Vernon Santa House is scheduled for Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 14 lodge, 114 West St.
The event is scheduled for rain or shine and tickets are $15 donation for those 11 and older. Children 10 and younger are free.
Tickets can be purchased at the Legion.

The event will feature a barbecue, a DJ, a raffle, games, face painting a bounce house and a visit from Mrs. and Mrs. Claus, who have interrupted a tropical vacation to attend. Admission includes a ticket for a door prize.
"No one will go home hungry," said Mike Wendus, a town council member and president of the non-profit Santa House committee.

The Santa House sits in Vernon's Central Park during the holiday season and children can visit Santa in a warm cozy environment.
