Vernon School Gets Connecticut Water Bottle Filling Station Grant
Connecticut Water Co. this week announced the recipients of its 2022 School Water Bottle Filling Station Grant program.

VERNON, CT — Connecticut Water Co. this week announced the recipients of its 2022 School Water Bottle Filling Station Grant program and Maple Street School in Vernon is included.
The program, launched in 2020, provides touch-free water bottle filling stations to schools served by Connecticut Water and financial support for the equipment. It includes a minimum funding commitment of $15,000 from Connecticut Water, part of the utility's annual $120,000 pledge to support community and charitable organizations.
Connecticut Water's charitable giving programs are funded by the company and not recovered through customer rates, utility officials said.

In addition to supporting the needs of Connecticut Water’s service communities, the School Water Bottle Filling Station Grant Program also "aims to support Connecticut Water's commitment to the environment by promoting the use of reusable bottles."
In addition to Maple Street, the following schools have been awarded fill stations as part of the 2022 program:
