Vets Day Promtping Change To Vernon Trash Schedule
Veterans Day has prompted a change to the Vernon trash and recycling pickups.
VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
Refuse and recycling will not be collected on that day.
Monday pickups wil take place, on Tuesday, Nov. 12 along with that day's normal collection.

If delays occur, residents should keep bins at the curb, DPW officials said.
The Vernon Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 10.
