'Victim' Takes Perpetrator To Hospital After Vernon Break-In: PD
A man was arrested after a Vernon home invasion on New Year's Day.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police arrested a man on New Year's Day for burglary after the listed victim in the home invasion case drove him to the hospital, a report indicates.
Police said they received a call from Rockville General Hospital about the incident at 5:50 a.m. on New Year's Day. After arriving, officers spoke to a woman who said her "ex-boyfriend," Francis Wright, came to her house in the middle of the night and broke in, according to a report.
The woman stated that Wright broke the front door window and lock and entered the home after she repeatedly told him to leave, according to a report

The woman then told police Wright cut his hand after breaking the window and she drove him to the hospital, the report indicates.
Police said they confirmed Wright entered the woman's home without permission.

Wright was transported back to the Vernon Police Department, where he was charged with first-degree burglary, breach of peace, second-degree treatening and third-degree criminal mischief.
Wright was to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Tuesday.
