Water Emergency Sends Rockville High School Students Home Early on Tuesday

Students were briefly evacuated.

VERNON, CT — A malfunctioning sprinkler head burst at Rockville High School on Tuesday and forced school officials to send student home early.

The sprinkler head broke at 12:30 p.m. and students were briefly evacuated from the building before being sent home at 1:3o p.m., school officials said.

There was some water damage to the kitchen and cafeteria area of the school, education officials said.
