Well, There Was One Wet Workout ...

The clouds began creeping into Vernon in the early afternoon on Tuesday.

And they kept creeping.

And they kept coming.

At about 4:40 p.m., the first raindrops hit the sidewalks and the streets and the fields.

It was bad timing for the afternoon youth sports schedule.

One program thatr made a go of it for about 90 minutes was the Vernon Youth Soccer Association. The young players dribbled their way around a soggy Legion field and seemed to be having a blast, oblivious to the rain.
