Wires Fall on Garbage Truck in Vernon

VERNON, CT — Wires fell onto a garbage truck on Thursday afternoon at a Vernon apartment complex, police said.

The incident was at 4 Rau St., police said. It did not involve a town truck, police said. Rather, it was a private hauler that services the complex, police said.

Power was briefly shut off in the area so a crew from Eversource Energy could remove the wires from the top of the truck and string them back up, police said.

No injuries were reported.
