Woman Caught Taking Medical Marijuana From Car In Vernon: Report
A woman fresh off a theft conviction in a Vernon case is now accused of taking medical pot from a parked car Friday.

VERNON, CT — A woman convicted for a Vernon theft offense in February has been arrested for a break-in again, this time for taking medical marijuana from a parked car, police said.
Tammy Gardner, 43, who has no certain address but who hangs around Vernon, was arrested on Friday night and charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and trespassing, according to a report. She was to appear in court Monday after spending the weekend locked up on a $25,000 bond, according to a report.
Police received a call from a resident at 7:56 p.m. Friday about a woman caught stealing items from a car parked near Woodland Street and Talcott Avenue, according to a report. The woman was lated identified as Gardner, police said.

She was found with $24.36 in change and medical marijuana taken from the vehicle, according to a report.
Gardner had received a five-year suspended sentence on Feb. 13 for third-degree burglary and a 30-day sentence for reckless driving 11 days later, judicial system records indicate. She has been convicted of theft, drug and behavioral offenses seven times since 2015, records show.
